We do not want to leave Rock Cottage! Fantastic place to stay and relax after a hectic Christmas, battery’s recharged. If you cycle, go on the Tarka Trail at Fremington and the Café is very good. Great walks around Hartland and Morthoe. Thanks for everything Perter & Suzanne, recommended everyone to stay here.

Lovely cottage with all necessary amenities. The wood burner was a huge like. Food at The New Inn was excellent. We also found The Pyne Arms as East Down served an amazing Sunday lunch. We will be back!

Rock Cottage has made a very lovely base for visiting old haunts and visiting some new ones. Dartmoor to Ilfracombe and a good Gluten Free fish n chip at Kilkhampton, then a quick drive to Duckpool to eat them. For some useful information for any is (Gluten Free) The Butchers Row shops bakery does bread and scones so you can still have your Cream Tea!

Lovely cottage, comfy and well-equipped. We recommend the walks from Heddon Valley to Woody Bay and Lynmouth to Watersmeet - a cream tea there is a must. If you wish to explore Exmoor and see wildlife and red deer, you can’t do better than Red Stag Safari - interesting, informative, hugely enjoyable and a wonderful guide. RHS Rosemoor is worth a visit, great food and veg garden. The New Inn is a must - do book.

Myself and David want to express our huge thanks for letting us stay at Rock Cottage over Christmas. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The cottage is just beautiful, and I was delighted at still having a real tree, even away from home. We brushed up on our Scrabble skills and David took much male enjoyment from burning the fire.

We thoroughly loved popping into The New Inn and chatting to the locals and the owners who were extremely welcoming.

We love our annual visit to Rock Cottage. The new kitchen layout works well with the dishwasher. This year we went to Clovelly, which is lovely except for the visitor centre. We also visited the most wonderful garden, Marwood Hill, only 25 minutes car journey away, it is magical. Good tea room too. Thank you very much, and see you next year.

We'll be back for long walks!

What an amazing cottage, even after two days here we still keep spotting the lovely touches that make it so homely. It is in a perfect location for walks and the beach, which is where we spent today, we recommend Saunton Sands. We especially loved our evening drinks out on the patio, listening to the bees. It is so peaceful and makes a refreshing change from the city.
