A small basket of logs is supplied between Sept-May, & a large bag can be bought for £10 cash from the owner.

Arriving at Rock Cottage

Park the car at the roofline of Rock cottage, & if you or your children have ever wondered how thatch looks up-close, you may inspect for yourself. Then, take a moment to experience the view of rolling hills leading down to the Taw Estuary, the silence broken only by the lowing cattle, gently bleating sheep or the chattering song of woodland birds, & you realise that you’re in a holiday world already. All this before you’ve even stepped inside your cosy thatched North Devon cottage retreat.

Stunning Nearby Walks

It’s a great holiday home for walkers. The cottage contains maps & books of local walks, as well as trails across Exmoor & the South West Coastal Footpath. There are beautiful walks along ancient flower-strewn green lanes right from the front door. For the less active there’s an excellent village pub serving good food, it's just a short stumble down the lane!
